Last year I had planned to write a story for NaNo and ended up completing it before November 1<sup>st<\/sup> so I used that month for editing. The most recent story I wrote was drafted in the summer and completed more recently, but even though I have a novel to focus on, I can\u2019t help but feel the pull towards NaNoWriMo.<\/p>\n<p>Why? Because it\u2019s a month filled with camaraderie and everyone experiencing the same struggles, triumphs and pitfalls of writing a book. You can cheer others on, or provide help and suggestions to people who might have writer\u2019s block or not able to find the time to squeeze in a few hundred words. It\u2019s also a great chance to locate betas or CPs. Or discover new friendships with people who write the same genre, or different ones all together.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t talk-up NaNoWriMo enough and I am saddened to know that I can\u2019t participate this year. But if you\u2019re writing a need someone to reader a quick scene, or give you an ear to complain to or bounce ideas off of, I\u2019m your writer. And if you haven\u2019t participated in this month long event yet, I\u2019m not sure I can say much more to nudge you into it. It\u2019s one of the best experiences you\u2019ll have even if you don\u2019t finish the book or reach 50k, you won\u2019t regret the time and energy you invested.<\/p>\n<p>So go forth and NaNo, people!
